Course objectives
The course aims to prepare students for research by improving and developing their theoretical and methodological knowledge as well as their general competences in relation to leadership and organization. The course intends to enable active participation in research projects with a focus on Leadership and Organization. Students will continuously be supervised by researchers connected to selected research projects.
Course contents
The course offers active participation in a research project within the field of Leadership and Organization. Supervision is provided by the researcher in the project that the student is engaged.
Learning outcomes
Following successful completion of the course the student should
1. demonstrate knowledge and understanding of work connected to research.
2. demonstrate the ability to apply theoretical knowledge within the field of Leadership and Organization in practice in research.
3. demonstrate the ability to present a relevant research issue of the student’s own choice that is related to the field.
4. independently prepare and present a written report on experiences from research in practice.
5. demonstrate the ability to critically evaluate the student’s own competences and to identify relevant existing areas of possible research within the field of Leadership and Organization.

Independent literature review, practical research work, supervision, seminars, project meetings.

Course evaluation
Malmö University provides students who participate in, or who have completed a course, with the opportunity to express their opinions and describe their experiences of the course by completing a course evaluation administered by the University. The University will compile and summarise the results of course evaluations. The University will also inform participants of the results and any decisions relating to measures taken in response to the course evaluations. The results will be made available to the students (HF 1:14).
Interim rules
If a course is no longer offered, or has undergone significant changes, the students must be offered two opportunities for re-examination based on the syllabus that applied at the time of registration, for a period of one year after the changes have been implemented.
Additional information
If a student has a Learning support decision, the examiner has the right to provide the student with an adapted test, or to allow the student to take the exam in a different format.
