Entry requirements
1. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Degree of Engineering in Computer Science, or a degree in a related field. All degrees must be equivalent to at least 180 higher education credits.
2. The equivalent of English B in Swedish secondary school.
3. At least 15 credits of programming (or equivalent).

Organisation
The program will give the student an opportunity to deepen her/his knowledge in an area of current interest within Computer Science, as well as knowledge and skills of methodologies for research and development projects within Computer Science.

Learning outcomes
Knowledge and Understanding
On completion of the course the student shall demonstrate:
- show knowledge and understanding of Computer Science, including having an overview of the area, deepened knowledge in the area of of cooperative information systems, as well as, insight in current research and development
- show deepened knowledge of methodologies and research methodologies used in Computer Science
- be able to describe central concepts in the area of cooperative information systems
Skills and Abilities
On completion of the course the student shall demonstrate:
- show ability to integrate knowledge and to analyse, evaluate and handle complex problems and situations also with limited information
- show ability to independently identify and formulate problems, as well as, plan and, by using suitable methods, carry out advanced tasks within given time frames
- show ability to orally and in writing clearly present and discuss her/his conclusions regarding matters in Computer Science, as well as the knowledge and the arguments which these are based upon in dialog with different groups
- demonstrate ability to apply the main concepts and technologies in the development of cooperative information systems
- show the skills that are required to participate in research and development work in Computer Science, or to work with other qualified tasks
Capability of Assessing and Perception
On completion of the course the student shall demonstrate:
- show capability, within the area of Computer science, with special focus on Cooperative Information Systems, to make judgements taking into consideration relevant scientific, societal, and ethical aspects, as well as, showing consciousness of ethical aspects of research and development
- display understanding of the possibilities and limitation of science, its role in society, and the responsibility of its use
- show ability to identify her/his needs of additional knowledge and to take responsibility for her/his progress within the area
