The course can normally be included in generell degree at advanced level.
Course contents
The course content is in the form of a supervised project. Supervision is carried out on an individual as well as a group basis and includes seminar meetings.
Learning outcomes
After finishing the course, the student:
- can show the ability to integrate knowledge critically and systematically, and to analyze, evaluate and handle complex issues and situations, even when in possession of limited information;
- can show the ability to independently postulate theses, within agreed timetables, on the basis of diverse scientific perspectives; as well as to identify the complexity of the issue and work, in line with strict scientific research procedure;
- can show the ability to demonstrate their acquired knowledge by means of an independent piece of work evidencing the ability to analyze and evaluate scientific information and
- can show the ability to communicate the results of their own work, and the results of others, both orally and in writing.
Course literature and other study material
Primary and secondary reading for the master thesis (one year) is selected in cooperation with the supervisor.

All students are offered an opportunity to give oral or written feedback at the end of the course.
