Course objectives
The purpose of this course is to provide students with education and practical training in how to plan, implement, and reflect on a specific project related to themes that the students, along with teachers, researchers, and the surrounding community decide upon, and which is based on the content of the course of ES151L 'Urbanity, Urbanisation and Globalisation - Cultural and Social Perspectives', which takes place in parallel with this course.
Course contents
The course begins with lectures about what it means to work on a project, and to work as a project manager. There will be theoretical lectures as well as lectures by people with experience of participating in and leading projects related to the Oresund region and EU. At the same time, planning will begin for a joint class project, to be realized at the end of the semester. Project planning is carried out with the advice of tutor with experience of project work. Throughout the course, each student also writes a reflective journal, culminating in a self-reflection that is submitted after the end of the project. The collective part of the course will end with a public event at the end of the semester.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, students should be able to:
1. Understand the basic concepts of project management.
2. Show ability to work, together with others, in the setting of project goals and the execution thereof.
3. Show critical ability to reflect upon his or her experience of managing the project.
4. Contribute to the organisation of a collective project in collaboration with other students.

The course also includes articles on project management and organisational development, + working material which will be designated by teachers, students and advisors as the course progresses.
Course evaluation
The University provides students who participate in or who have completed a course with the opportunity to make known their experiences and viewpoints with regards to the course by completing a course evaluation administered by the University. The University will compile and summarize the results of course evaluations as well as informing participants of the results and any decisions relating to measures initiated in response to the course evaluations. The results will be made available to the students (HF 1:14).
Interim rules
If a course ceases to be available or has undergone any major changes, the students are to be offered two opportunities to retake the examination during the year following the change for re-examination, based on the syllabus which applied at registration.
