Learning activities
The main learning activity is experience-based self-studies at an internship, under supervision by the professional staff at the workplace, and academic staff at Malmö University. The course is supported by tutorials and web-seminars. During the internships time should be set aside for documentation of workplace and work assignments. The student, in consultation with their workplace and supervisors, prepares an appropriate form of communication for communicating the experiences of the internship for a conference audience. The course also includes 5 weeks (200 hours) of independent work on reflecting in writing on the internship, where the student uses the documentation gathered during the intership to reflect on their experiences, competences and needs for further development. The student is responsible for arranging their own internship. The internship must take place during the semester. The internship can be located at an international, national or local organization (state or municipal agency, association, or company) as long as the workplace is related to the student’s main subject area.
