Bachelor's degree, consisting of 180 credits. The equivalent of English B/ English 6 in Swedish secondary school.
The aim of the Master’s program is for the students to acquire advanced knowledge and critical understanding of the mutual relationship between societal challenges, leadership and organization in private, public and non-profit sectors as well as knowledge of critical perspectives. After finishing the program the students will be able to move on to PhD studies or to qualified work within e.g. national and international agencies and organizations.
The program is multi-disciplinary and is grounded in the disciplines of Sociology, Pedagogy, Psychology, Business Administration and Political Science. The program is aimed towards students and professionals who are interested in developing their knowledge and understanding of the challenges that organizations and businesses face.
The courses within the main area Leadership and Organization are taught in the first and second semesters. A number of elective courses are offered in the third semester. The fourth semester consists of the mandatory Master’s thesis of 30 credits.
During semester 3 a number of elective courses will be offered. These will be made available during semester 2 in time for application. Courses within the field may be offered such as Leadership and Organisation: Research Internship, 30 credits (OL633E) and Leadership and Organisation: Working conditions, leadership, organization, and governance within Human service organizations, 15 credits (OL632E). Students may choose to take courses at a university abroad.
